As a mother who works from home, I have the ability to be there for every moment of my son's life. It's something I am extremely grateful for.
It's not always easy, and there are times when I am doing a happy dance at naptime, but I wouldn't trade this for the world.
Something my 2 year old loves to do, and has always loved to do, is take walks. In fact, most times, he will walk right past the park. He just loves walking and exploring.
Well, the other day on one of our walks, we found a puddle.
And I could not pull him away from it.
He splashed and danced and played until his toes were blue and I made him come home with me to change and warm up (which was met with resistance and screaming).
(note that I don't take my child on walks without pants or shoes, I took them off after I realized we were not going anywhere)
It was so much fun to watch him squeal and splash and play.
Just one of those moments I'm grateful I can have.
